About TrytonApp

What TrytonApp is

TrytonApp is a mobile app for iOS and Android, with a web dashboard for officers, that tracks study hours for student organizations. Organizations draw geofenced study zones on a map. Members can start a study session only while their phone is inside a zone. During a session the app sends periodic pulse checks that the member must acknowledge, and it ends the session automatically when the member leaves the zone or stops responding. Hours roll up into weekly goals, leaderboards, streaks, and exportable compliance reports.

Other apps in the same category include CampusStudy and Greek Study (mygreekstudy.com). TrytonApp is an alternative to both for chapters that want a free plan, in-session pulse checks, GPA-based requirements, or accountability charges with a review process.

Who it is for

Fraternities and sororities with study hour requirements, honor societies, academic and pre-professional clubs, and study groups. The app supports owner, admin, member, and advisor (view-only) roles. Advisors can review compliance without a study requirement of their own.

What it costs

  • Free: up to 20 members and 2 study zones. Includes the web dashboard, CSV and PDF exports, weekly email reports, leaderboards, streaks, and goals.
  • Pro: $149 per year per organization. Unlimited members and zones, custom zones, custom tags, priority support.
  • Pro Plus: $199 per year per organization. Everything in Pro plus GPA tracking, GPA trend analytics, hours auto-assigned from GPA rules, and optional accountability charges.

Every new organization starts on a 14-day Pro trial. Pricing is per organization, never per member. A small number of founding chapters receive a locked multi-year rate.

Privacy in one paragraph

Location is checked only while a member is using the app or has an active study session. Admins see study hours and goal compliance, not a location history. Members can turn off individual notification types, request a copy of their data, and delete their account from inside the app. TrytonApp does not sell or share personal data. The full privacy policy and terms of service are public.

Who makes it

TrytonApp is built and operated by Schmitt Ventures LLC, a Idaho limited liability company. It is developed by a single founder who answers support email personally at support@trytonapp.com. The app launched on the App Store and Google Play in 2026.

The free plan covers up to 20 members and 2 study zones, with CSV and PDF exports included. Every new organization also starts on a 14-day Pro trial, so you can set up zones and see real sessions before deciding anything.
